Develop a global update command. I have been using Movienizer for three years or so and have a large database (872 movies). When a new feature is added like earnings or awards, the only way to update my collection is to go through it and 'add a movie

Create an Android/iPhone app able to sync with the desktop version via bluetooth, wi-fi, or usb connection. This would allow users to scan barcodes using their phone's barcode scanner on the go, and automatically add a movie to their library.

Add seperate TV Series category (Tab) and Update function (for running series)

I'd like to see a TV Series tab between the Movies and Persons tab. For running series it would be necessary to have the downloaded info updated. An op[tion to do that should be included too.

To be able to use your own media player by default.

You could have an option that says "choose which program to use to play your movie files". Then, you may "browse" which program to use, and the program will automatically play your selected movie with that program.

include ratings from other websites other than imdb.

Ratings from websites like rottentomatoes.com, moviereviews.com, filmcritic.com etc. and also personal rating should be included.

Under an actor's page, after downloading his information, the ability to show *just* the movies you own in which he stars or expand it to show all of them. One of those [+] buttons would work great!

To be able to input the iMDB link yourself if the program is unable to find it itself.

If the program is unable to find the iMDB due to spelling, or other words you may have in the title, it would be nice that you could find and add the iMDB yourself and let the program go from there.

Connect the product with a DLNA sever (Tversity, Serviio etc..) to see details about the movie from my collection when browsing it on the TV. This can help me chose the movie I would like to watch now on the TV

Be able to recognize VOB folders on hard disc and play back with VLC.

I store my movies on several hard drives as a mirror copy of a DVD. This includes VOB files, etc. Ideally you would be able to search a whole drive and get movie information from these files/folders. Also, most collector programs use the VLC...

Family and friends like to borrow movies. It would be great to have a checklist for "checked out" and a space for name and date.
